What should I do if my garage door opener remote is lost or stolen?

You’ll want to erase it from the memory of your garage door opener. To do this, locate the Learn button on your garage door opener and press it until the LED light goes out, usually about 10-15 seconds. What should I do if my motor is making noise but the door isn't moving?

There are many things that can cause your door not to open even if the motor is making noise and working. The trolley can be disengaged from the motor. Worn parts like the gear and sprocket or pulleys, as well as damaged cables or springs also can cause your motor to make noise without the door opening. The garage door can also be locked from the inside, which will cause it to stay closed even if the motor is running. If the remotes work but you can’t open it from the wall control panel, there may be an issue with your wall button.
