I recently had my garage door serviced by Precision Garage Door of Long Island, and overall the experience was very positive. The technician who came out was excellent—professional, well-spoken, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything in detail, walked me through my options, and broke down the cost of each repair before starting any work. During the visit, he replaced the keypad, provided a small remote, installed new coils, added safety cables, and replaced around 20 small wheels on the tracks. The work itself was completed in about an hour, and everything is now functioning smoothly. The only downside for me was the price. The cost felt significantly higher than expected. Sticker shock. While I fully appreciate paying for quality service and expertise, the total cost felt quite high relative to the parts and time / labor (one hours) involved. That said, the workmanship and professionalism were top-notch, and I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if needed. If you’re looking for reliable, skilled service and are comfortable with premium pricing, they will take great care of you.

Amazing service! Incredibly knowledgable! And very, very nice! Highly recommend! My garage door (springs) broke on Monday night. Couldn’t open the garage door, 2 cars locked inside, only 1 car outside. Major problem. Called Precision at 8pm Monday night - made an appt for Tuesday btwn 12-4. John showed up at 12:30, fixed and done and back to normal in less than 2 hours.

Precision Overhead Garage Door Service and John Aaron Hixson saved us in an emergency situation. On a freezing, windy, rainy Thursday night our garage door fell off the track and parts were damaged. The garage was open to the elements and impossible to close and lock. We called other services but only Precision Overhead Garage Door Service treated the situation as an urgent emergency. Good Morning, I had an awesome experience with the Tech, Marlon. He was very informative about having a safe garage. I did advised him that I was ditching the garage next month but he wanted to make sure that parts that was rusted, springs and cables which maneuvers the garage was in good working order. Marlon was polite, professional and his uniform was neat and clean. Overall, his presentation if the scoring system was from 1-10, he was a perfect 10. Wonderful employee to have on your team. Thank you for your response—I appreciate it. However, I did notice that my question about the cost wasn’t addressed, which is really my main concern. Especially in this economy. While I don’t have a detailed breakdown of the parts, it appeared to be roughly $200–$300 in materials, with the total bill coming to $2,345.32. I completely understand the value of quality work and professional expertise, but nearly $2,000 in labor for what seemed to be about 60–75 minutes of work felt significantly higher than I expected given the scope and time involved. I’m sure I may not have a full understanding of the materials, labor, and expertise that go into the service, which is why I’m hoping for some clarification. My positive review reflects how I felt about the technician and your company overall, and I would likely call again if needed. That said, on a lighter note, even a one-hour test with my cardiologist didn’t cost this much.
