I needed 2 replacement springs for my garage door and the tech (Danny) took a look and gave me an initial quote of, get this, $1,200!! I was going to send him away but I let him explain what was included and what an alternate price was. He had a bare minimum price of $640 which was still way too high but I was in a bind because I could not open the door without springs and my car was in garage. I reluctantly agreed and the work done was fine (took about 40 minutes) but I’m so upset that I spent that much money unnecessarily. I checked YouTube and it is a very easy job to do yourself and I ordered from Amazon two140 lb springs and four 3 inch pulleys ( total cost $65) for the other door which I will do myself when I have a free hour.

My spring and cable broke on my automatic garage door late on a Saturday. I called Precision and they scheduled me for the next morning(Sunday) between 10am - 2pm. I got a text and email alerts acknowledging the appointment. Sunday I got a text a 930 am that he was on the way with tracking that I could see where he was. Robert arrived right at 10am. I explained what happened and he inspected my whole door system and came up with a few options. He took pictures of all the damaged parts and explained what happened and what caused it. Some of the parts were undersized making it strain more than usual causing it to prematurely wear out. Plus It was 15 years old and had reached its life expectancy. He inspected my motor also and said it was good and was a relatively newer model which was replaced by the previous owner 5-6 years ago. I opted for replacing both side springs, cables, pulleys. Basically all the working mechanisms to both tracks that allow the door (2 car garage door, heavy) to operate. The price was fair. Robert was top notch. Polite, professional, knowledgeable. I agreed to the job which he said would take about an hour. He finished in the amount of time he said he would. They sent me a quote electronically which I signed off on and everything about this whole experience was seamless and easy. I would highly recommend Precision and especially Robert the technician who did the job.
