We have had the pleasure to call upon Precision Garage Door Service to handle necessary replacements of worn springs, cables and rollers at our family residences. Today, needed repairs were required on the remaining garage door assembly that was not properly corrected by a competitor company last year. The technician, Ryan, was excellent. He was knowledgeable, personable and enthusiastic about his craft. However, I did not appreciate the minimum labor charge of $299 (for what appeared to be a minor remedy) for one hour’s worth of work, but which appeared to be less than one hour’s worth of work, with an additional fee to wind down the torsion spring for $75. With tax, I paid $406.26. Adding fuel to the fire, I selected Precision because of coupons received in the mail that were not ultimately useable, and when I called to state that I would like to use the coupons and better understand their billing practices, they made NO mention of the $299 minimum. I’ve had emergency garage door situations for more serious issues on emergency time frames where I paid less.
