I chose Precision based on their on-line reviews. They kept me informed as to exactly when the serviceman would arrive, and even sent me a picture. Lewis assessed the problem and gave us options on how to proceed. He fixed the issue, quickly and then performed a full maintenance on the garage door opener and all of its components. Just a heads up, however. Be prepared to pay by check because using a credit or debit card incurs a high "processing" fee. I would definitely use Precision again if I had an issue.

Hi Brandon, Believe it or not, I chose Precision out of the Val U Pak coupons I got. I was looking for a garage door repair/replacement company for a while because our local guy retired and I didn't know who to call. I guess it was providence, because first of all I have never used a coupon from Val U Pak and I am so glad I did because Lewis Rodriguez was amazing. He explained everything, showed me what needed to be done on a as needed basis, breaking it down into what I should do first, second and last. I chose the middle option. He not only was professional, but polite, knowledgeable, and efficient, 45 minutes in and out. You are so lucky to have him and so was I. We are selling our house and we want to make sure that we transfer ownership of our house so it will be in the best and safest condition for the new owners. Lewis made the repairs and then showed me what exactly he did, and how the door now operates which is a lot better than when he got here. Thank you so much. The sticker is now by the garage door lighted switch so the new owners will know who to call in case of a need which I don't think will be for very long time thanks to Lewis. Review re: Jay Sherman 10 Sagamore Drive Plainview, NY 11803 John Fusco just completed a service call at my home. He set me up with a new remote for my garage door, programmed my vehicle, greased the hinges and thoroughly checked everything. John was excellent---thorough, patient, and made sure I understood everything necessary. He explained how to use the car remote built-in feature, how to open & close manually in case of a blackout, explained certain features on the keypad in the garage, how to grease the hinges and more. I definitely feel comfortable now and everything is working perfectly. I will spread reviews on Google, Facebook and on the Hamlet Facebook site. I'd like to have John perform future service calls if possible. He's a genuinely nice guy.

This is "Part One" of what will be a two-part review. A few weeks ago, our garage door broke; it seems that a spring gave out. Since this was a 25 year old door, a Craftsman one purchased from Sears (RIP, Sears...you were great!), I knew that we needed to find another repair service. After doing my research, and seeing the great reviews for Precision, I gave them a call. Within 24 hours, I had one of their techs at the house. What I loved and what impressed me from the beginning, was the close contact they provided. Not only did we get an email confirmation, but we also received text messages tracking the tech, and giving us a photo with some background information about them. This was reassuring, as it is nice to know who is showing up, and that the person is who they say they are. We met Nick, who was from the first moment we met him, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He took his time, evaluated the situation, and provided us with 3 options to consider. Not for one minute did we feel pressured or upsold; we felt confident and informed. In the end, we opted for a new door. We are in no rush, so we will be waiting 4-6 weeks for the door. What impressed us further, was, when Nick was about to leave, he told us that he may have something in the truck that would help the door function better while we waited for the new door to be installed later this summer. WHO DOES THIS!!!! Nick was great, and a true representation of what exceptional customer service should look like. We look forward to getting our new door installed some time in early July.
