Definitely timey and courteous. I called for a new opener since I cannot locate the old one and have bought a new car - that was all! Definitely got the feeling he was trying to sell me way more than I needed. The garage door if 5 years old and in perfect shape. It is used maybe once a day. The springs are new (installed by you but he had no records of this). Wanted $445 for the opener and to hook it up to my car!!! The opener was $95 and he wanted $350 to hook it up to my brand new car which certainly has instructions and can be done by me. He seemed disappointed when I only wanted the new opener. Do they work on commisson?

I recently had my garage door serviced by Precision Garage Door of Long Island, and overall the experience was very positive. The technician who came out was excellent—professional, well-spoken, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything in detail, walked me through my options, and broke down the cost of each repair before starting any work. During the visit, he replaced the keypad, provided a small remote, installed new coils, added safety cables, and replaced around 20 small wheels on the tracks. The work itself was completed in about an hour, and everything is now functioning smoothly. The only downside for me was the price. The cost felt significantly higher than expected. Sticker shock. While I fully appreciate paying for quality service and expertise, the total cost felt quite high relative to the parts and time / labor (one hours) involved. That said, the workmanship and professionalism were top-notch, and I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if needed. If you’re looking for reliable, skilled service and are comfortable with premium pricing, they will take great care of you.

I was contacted as to when I could expect the technician to arrive. Danny introduced himself and upon inspection of my garage opener and springs, explained my 2 options clearly, with prices and warranties. The work was completed quickly and everything was cleaned up. I was then instructed on how to use the outside control panel. Danny was very patient when I messed up the code the first time. He did not leave until he was sure I could use everything correctly.

Thank you for your response—I appreciate it. However, I did notice that my question about the cost wasn’t addressed, which is really my main concern. Especially in this economy. While I don’t have a detailed breakdown of the parts, it appeared to be roughly $200–$300 in materials, with the total bill coming to $2,345.32. I completely understand the value of quality work and professional expertise, but nearly $2,000 in labor for what seemed to be about 60–75 minutes of work felt significantly higher than I expected given the scope and time involved. I’m sure I may not have a full understanding of the materials, labor, and expertise that go into the service, which is why I’m hoping for some clarification. My positive review reflects how I felt about the technician and your company overall, and I would likely call again if needed. That said, on a lighter note, even a one-hour test with my cardiologist didn’t cost this much.
